Around pelion

The annual Pelion Christmas Parade will be held December 14 at 3:30 pm. There is no cost to participate, but you must return the completed entry form and agree to the regulations. Your entry number will be available when you check in.

For applications, contact Darla at drutkoskie@lexington1.net or 803-821-2371. Participants must dress and behave in a tasteful manner. Participants must keep in mind that this is a family oriented event. The Parade Committee reserves the right to prohibit participation of any entry deemed unsafe or in bad taste. The Committee also reserves the right to remove any entry or participant from the parade when the actions of that entry or its participants present a danger to spectators or participants.

Decisions of the Committee and/or its delegates will be final. The Committee assumes no responsibility for the safety of the parade participants. Applications must be returned by December 10 to the Pelion Middle School, 758 Magnolia St., Pelion, SC 291223, attn. Darla Rutkoskie.

A reminder that the annual Breakfast with Santa will be held December 7, 7-11 am at the Pelion Community Center, 951 Pine Street. Tickets are $5 and go towards children programs the Pelion American Legion supports. Children receive breakfast, coloring fun, a treat stocking, a toy from the toy chest, and a picture with Santa.

Pelion High varsity basketball will play Northside Christian December 2 at 6 pm. They will play at Orangeburg Prep December 3 at 6:30 pm.
