Pelion Ruritan meets Oct. 22 at 7 pm at the Lutheran Parish building behind the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. We welcome 3 new members, Trudy Neese, Angie Olawsky and John Rebolj. The club will not meet in November.

PELION Elementary parents, please check emails from your child’s teacher about a virtual meeting to discuss your child’s progress. Hours are 7:50 am to 2 pm Monday - Thursday. All parents are urged to get their children to school on time each day. Friday office hours are 7:30 am - 3 pm.

Forts Pond Elementary’s Parenting Center will host virtual workshops for parents to watch at a convenient time . The workshops will help families support their child’s academic needs. Workshops will be posted every other week on Facebook and the school web page. The workshop themes will alternate between literacy and math.

CONVENT Baptist held their annual Pastor Appreciation day Oct. 4 with a large attendance. The meal was catered by Shealy’s. The church will sponsor the Fall Festival 4 - 6 pm Oct. 25. Everyone is invited. Please adhere to the covid suggestions.
