Katrina’s Kids took foster care children Christmas shopping before the holiday. The organization was founded to serve children in foster care and kinship care throughout SC. The organization made a trip to the Walmart on S. Lake Dr. in Lexington to buy Christmas gifts for children who would otherwise not receive presents. The foundation will host its 3rd annual Music Benefit Wednesday, Jan. 16 at Spirit Communications Park in Columbia. To learn more, visit www.KatrinasKidsSC.com . Pictured are over 50 of the volunteers who shopped before Christmas with the children of the Palmetto Place Shelter. Volunteers were from the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, Fifth District Solicitor’s Office, members of the Katrina’s Kids Foundation Board, White Knoll High School students and members of St. James Lutheran Church.
