Project Prom is an event coming up at Red Bank United Methodist Church for high school age young men and women who will need formal wear for their proms, military balls, or other spring formals. The church has collected donations of prom dresses and tuxedos, shirts, and other formal wear that they are offering to the community youth free of charge. Hours for the event are March 13 1-4 pm; March 14, 10-4 pm; March 15, 2-5 pm; then March 21 5-8 pm and March 22 10 am-4 pm. Red Bank UMC is at the corner of Old Barnwell and South Lake Drive. RED BANK BAPTIST Church on South Lake Drive holds the Women’s Ministry 2020 Annual Brunch March 14 at 9:30 am. Jean Padgett is the guest speaker with the topic “Rooms of Our Life.” Tickets are $10. Reserve in advance at www.redbankchurch.org .

Lexington Church of God on Nazareth Road will host a “Go Kids Outdoor Movie Night” March 14. Doors open at 7 pm, movie begins at 7:30. There will be concessions available. Bring blankets and lawn chairs.

The next Food Pantry day at St. James Lutheran Church is March 17, 10-11 am. Contact the church for information on what is offered and what’s required for taking part, 359-2122.

Congratulations to White Knoll High School Head Athletic Trainer Sheila Gordon, who recently received the Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer award from the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers’ Association. The award recognizes leaders in their field with at least 20 years of service and exceptional contributions to the athletic training profession.

SOUTH LEXINGTON BAPTIST Church on Brevard Parkway will hold a two-day Missions Fundraiser with a Yard Sale and Bake Sale from 8-2 on Friday and Saturday, and BBQ plates sale on Saturday from 11-5.
