The Lexington County School District One Board of Trustees conducted an evaluation of Superintendent Keith Price during its meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 6.
The annual evaluation of the superintendent generally occurs in the fall in accordance with the contract between the superintendent and the board.
The board met in executive session with legal counsel to conduct the evaluation and then voted in public session to give Price a “very effective” evaluation for the 2025–26 school year based on the board’s assessment of his overall performance.
Following the announcement of the evaluation’s results, the board voted to extend his contract by one year to June 30, 2030, and increase his salary by 2%, which is in line with the raises given to other employees.
Board Chair Kathy Henson thanked Price for the steadfast leadership and oversight he brings to the district. She said the board is confident in his continued efforts to guide all students to learn, grow and excel.
