The Lexington High School girls’ golf team saw their quest for a 4th straight Class 5A title and 14th overall end with a runner-up finish Tuesday at the Mid-Carolina Club in Prosperity. Blythewood won the state title over Lexington and Chapin placed 9th. The Lady Wildcats’ Karlee Vardas did capture the individual title as she beat out Blythewood’s Ella Stalvey on the 2nd playoff hole. Molly Hardwick finished in 6th and Emily Beiers and Chapin’s Emily Baker tied for 8th place to earn All-Star honors.
