Lexington police charge man with murder

Lexington Police Chief Terrence Green Friday announced that an arrest has been made in the recent shooting death on Freedom Drive in Lexington.

Jabin Elliotte Trapp, 49, of Lexington, was arrested in the death of Parrish Scott Phillips, 49, of Chapin, on the afternoon of June 27. When officers were dispatched to the shooting, they found the victim deceased and lying in the backyard with several gunshots to the upper body. During the investigation it was found that Jabin Trapp and the victim had been involved in an argument that ended when Jabin Trapp shot the victim several times.

Jabin Trapp has been charged with Murder and Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime. He is being held at the Lexington County Detention Center.

Shooting suspect arrested in Lexington

A man being sought for shooting into a Lexington home was arrested last week.

Roosevelt Erik Garway, Jr. has been arrested, said Lexington Police Chief Terrence Green.

A earlier arrest was also made in the shooting incident that occurred Monday, June 28, in the 300 block of Coventry Lakes Drive.

Patrick Riley Prewitt, age 19 of Lexington, was arrested on Tuesday afternoon, June 29.

He was charged with Criminal Conspiracy.
