Several former Chronicle Country high school athletes continue to make a name for themselves on the college level:

DEVONTAE SHULER (Ole Miss - basketball)

The former All-State guard out of Irmo High School arguably saved his best collegiate season for his senior year. Shuler was named All-SEC 1st guard after leading the Rebels with careerhighs in scoring (15.6 ppg) and assists (3.3 apg). He recorded 8 20-point games, including a 26-point night against Auburn in which he nailed the game-winning jumper at the buzzer. Shuler also posted a career-best 31 points against the University of South Carolina on Feb. 13 in his return to the Midlands. Shuler will now look to further improve his NBA stock in the NIT Tournament starting Friday against Louisiana Tech.

HANNAH STEPHENSON (Lander - golf)

The junior out of Lexington High School earned Peach Belt Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week honors after taking top medalist honors at the Lady Cougar Invitational. This was her 5th top 10 finish of this season, the most in the Peach Belt, and moved Stephenson into 4th in the league with a 75.93 stroke average.

JESSE HOLLINS (Coastal Carolina - tennis)

As a senior at River Bluff High School, Hollins posted a 27-0 individual record in leading the Lady Gators to their 2nd Class 5A title. She also won a state individual title enroute to being named the 2019-20 Lexington County Chronicle Girls’ Athlete of the Year. This past Sunday, Hollins won her 8th consecutive individual match with the Lady Chanticleers with a 2-set win over Troy to improve to 8-2 in her brief career.

JOSH SENTER (North Greenville - baseball)

The former River Bluff infielder had a career game this past Friday against Southern Wesleyan. He went 4-4 with 4 RBI, including his 1st home run of the season and a double.
