PELION RURITANS were given a great overview of the Pelion Library at the last meeting. Shirley Spreen and Kate Barry told of the many sources available to library card holders. After the meeting they were available to give applications.
Tales & Tails Summer Reading Wrap up party is 4-6 pm Thursday, August 12 . A special guest story teller will be featured. Grand prizes will be awarded to one Listener, Reader, Teen, and Adult program completers. Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Pelion Library. This is open to families who register.
DESHONTEZ Malik Gray received athletic scholarships from Georgia Southern and Georgia State, Middle Connecticut and Tennessee State Universities, University of NC at Charlotte, US Air Force, Military, and Naval Academies, Western Kentucky University and Wofford College .
A SEND-OFF was given to Aidan Free who is leaving for the Navy. The winning bid to give him his first Navy haircut was $415 and Aidan’s pretty hair met the floor as his head was shaved.
Remember all our young men and women in or who will be joining the military.
