Our favorite toy memories

Christmas is about family, faith and creating happy memories. We want to share with you some Christmas memories of toys from folks when they were children.

Jay Law said Santa brought him several Tonka trucks for Christmas in 1974. He called it a blessing to give his trucks to his granddaughter.

Tee Derrick grew up in the 1950s. When he received a used bicycle for Christmas from a relative, he loved riding it down the many dirt roads in Gilbert.

Phyllis Lloyd said she was 7 when she received her Tiny Tears doll for Christmas. It was her favorite toy.

Lisa Watkins has fond memories of playing with her Barbie dolls. She said she also took her Barbie van with her to the beach.

Allen Riffey was 8 and wanted Santa to bring him a dump truck and bull dozer for Christmas. Riffey said on Christmas day they were under the tree and he couldn’t wait to play with them.

Wayne Augustine was 6 when he received his Lionel train set for Christmas. He played with it for years and still has it

Valerie Augustine says her favorite toy was a Roy Rogers ranch play set. She loved westerns and played with it with friends.

Wayne and I send our blessings to you for a Merry Christmas and a 2021 that’s far better than we had in 2020.
