Pelion Peanut Party will be November 1 and 2. with lots of food, games and entertainment. Plan to come out and join the fun. Blessing of the pots will be Friday at 5 pm.

Pelion Library will

sponsor Cook the Book November 5 at noon for ages 18 and up. This month’s theme is Jewish Meals. Books and Beyond will meet November 5 at 3 pm and will do mason jar crafts. This event is for grades K-5. Technology training will be November 6 at 10:30 am for ages 18 and up and registration is required. Story time meets November 6 at 11 am for ages 1-4.

Pelion Panthers will play at Gilbert November 1 at 7:30 pm.

The Competitive Cheer will be November 2 at Whitmire High School.

Pelion High Powder Puff football sign-ups are 11:15 am until 1:45 pm November 4 through November 18.

Pelion Elementary congratulates the 2019-2020 Teacher of the Year Nicole Shumpert. Mrs. Shumpert teaches 2nd grade. She has taught at PES for 7 years. Our Teacher of the Year Finalists are: Casey Hill (Resource), Savanna Blackwell (first grade), Lauren Whigham (kindergarten), and Lauren McElveen (fifth grade).

Students at Pelion Elementary are invited to wear their favorite sports team apparel November 1 to Team Up to live Drug Free.

Veterans are invited to eat breakfast with the students at Pelion Elementary November 11, 6:45-7:30 am. Breakfast is free and donated in honor of all who have served our great country. The cost for other adults will be $2.50. The menu will consist of grits, eggs, sausage, biscuits, milk, juice, and coffee. After the breakfast there will be a parade through the halls to salute veterans. Veterans may wear their uniforms.

Forts Pond Elementary 2019-2020 Teacher of the Year is Lizzy Siceloff. The support Staff of the Year is Kristina Sox. The Holiday Mallard Market is November 16, 9 am-noon. For information email cbain@lexington1.net .
