Many of us are planning summer getaways.
How will you travel and eat safely?
Do you plan on packing snacks, stopping at vending machines or drive-thrus?
Here are some healthy snacks that are cost-friendly, and will reduce your risk of exposure to corona virus.
• Yogurt parfait with wild blueberries
• No-bake energy bites
(https://www.gimmesomeoven.com/nobake-energy-bites/)
• Fruit with squeezable nut butter
• Popcorn
• Prepackaged portions of mixed nuts, jerky and dried fruits like prunes and raisins
• Applesauce cups
• Vegetable paper rice rolls (https://www.littlebroken.com/vegetable-rice-paper-rolls/)
• Calorie-free flavored seltzer is a good beverage choice and a great replacement for soda. But, make sure to still drink water to stay hydrated. I personally like CORE, Smartwater or FIJI water.
Even though not entirely healthy, prepackaged mini bags of chips, and some chocolate were a huge help, on my family’s recent road trip.
