White Knoll’s football team continues to roll through opponents, advancing to the third round of the 5A playoffs Nov. 10 after defeating 2022 runner-up, Fort Dorchester, 50-7.

Quarterback Landon Sharpe played an impressive game scoring five touchdowns on 13-19 passing for 182 yards as the team improved to (11-0) on the season.

Five White Knoll receivers caught a touchdown pass in the game. Receiver Austin Cunningham pulled in a team-high five receptions for 59 yards. Receiver CJ Earl led in receiving yards with 72 off two receptions, both of which were touchdowns.

Running back Tiyon Fanning led the team with 142 all-purpose yards to go with two touchdowns.

The White Knoll defense recorded 10 tackles for loss and two blocked punts, shutting down Fort Dorchester’s offense. Linebacker Jaiden Kimble had one of the blocked punts, and cornerback Caleb Geronomi had the other.

The Timberwolves ran away from the competition from their first drive. On the offense’s second snap, Fanning broke through for a 29-yard rushing touchdown.

Less than a minute later, White Knoll got the ball back when Geronomi intercepted the Fort Dorchester quarterback.

Fanning scored the team’s second touchdown off a 43-yard pass from Cunningham to put his team up 14-0 less than midway through the opening period.

Sharpe found tight end Tyson Cox for a three-yard touchdown late in the first. The extra point was blocked, so White Knoll carried a 20-0 lead into the second quarter.

Fort Dorchester scored its only points in the second quarter after a three-yard touchdown run by running back Davian Brown.

White Knoll responded with three touchdown passes to close the half, including two that went for more than 30 yards.

The Timberwolves were well in control by this point and scored nine more points in the second half to punch their ticket to the lower state semifinal and a date with Sumter.

The two teams will kick off at White Knoll Friday, Nov. 17 at 7:30 p.m. with a trip to the Lower State
