SC Attorney General Alan Wilson released the South Carolina Human Trafficking Task Force’s 2020 Annual Report Monday. The top 5 counties for reported human trafficking were Horry, Charleston, Greenville, Richland and Anderson. The Dickerson Children’s Advocacy Center in Lexington and the 11th Circuit Solicitor’s Office are the co-chairs of the new Lexington, Edgefield, McCormick, and Saluda (LEMS) Human Trafficking Task Force, launched Dec. 8, 2020. There were 139 cases of human trafficking reported in this year’s annual report and 179 victim cases through the hotline 1-888-373-7888.
