Pfizer safe, more than 95% effective

South Carolina can expect up to 300,000 Pfizer vaccine doses this year.
Laura Renwick of the Department of Health and Environmental Control said those amounts are subject to change.
"We won't know the exact amount until the doses are received," she said.
Pfizer and Moderna have applied for emergency use authorization from the Food and Drug Administration.
Both vaccines are considered safe and more than 95% effective in initial trials.
