Service businesses bounce back

Day spas, waxing centers, restaurants, and salons are recovering fast.

In the 2021’s 2nd quarter, most quick service cookie or dessert shops like Insomnia and Crumbl and specialty coffee shops expanded as did medical, dental and vision centers.

Shoppers returned to instore shopping and fast food restaurants and gas stations with convenience stores aggressively expanded.

7-Eleven, Murphy Express, and Quick Trip are expanding by offering more products and services, to-go options and sit-down dining.

The office and retail vacancy rate dropped to 5.73% which is approaching the pre-pandemic vacancy rate of 5.42%.

The state’s retail markets absorbed 184,875 square
