There are 2 new queens reigning in South Carolina.

Marley D’Lynn Stokes was crowned Miss South Carolina USA, and Augusta Roach was crowned Miss South Carolina Teen USA.

The Palmetto state natives won their titles March 6 at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center from among 66 contestants in a star-studded Roaring 20s themed celebration.

A native of Lexington, the new Miss South Carolina USA is a licensed phlebotomist. During the pandemic, Marley has kept busy administering covid-19 antibody tests. She also works with elementary school children through her program “Crayons for Kids” which she developed as a way to encourage children who may be dealing with learning disabilities similar to what she struggled with as a child.

Miss South Carolina Teen USA 2021 is Easley native, Augusta Roach. She is a high school senior where she is in the top 3% of her class. After graduation, she plans to study mass communications at the University of South Carolina Honors College and explore various internship opportunities.

Marley will compete for the title of Miss USA later this year while Augusta will represent South Carolina in the Miss Teen USA pageant.
