‘Tribute for Trees’ raises $49,000

The 5th Annual Tribute for Trees Gala drew its largest crowd ever to the Brook-land Room of the West Columbia City Hall Sept. 10.

Keep The Midlands Beautiful Executive Director Jacqueline Buck, who is retiring, was honored for her contributions to the West Columbia Beautification Foundation.

The WCBF received 2 large contributions. The Irmo Arbor Day Committee donated $20,000, and the Moore-Taylor Law Firm gave $10,000.

In all, WCBF Chairwoman Melissa Sprouse-Browne announced the proceeds from the night at $49,540.
