Pelion Elementary students will host the Fall Book Fair October 28 through November 1. Parents and guests are invited to visit the fair in the Learning Commons between 7:30 am and 3:00 pm. The Book Fair will be open until 6 pm Oct. 29.

Pelion Elementary will have a free flu shot clinic for students October 25 at 10 am. Panther Moms meet October 25 at 7 am in the cafeteria. October 25 is School Spirit Day and Hat Day. Students are encouraged to wear their PES shirts. If students would like to wear a hat, the cost is $1 with proceeds going to Relay for Life.

October 28 is “Real Heroes Don’t Do Drugs” day, so students should wear a super hero shirt. October 29 is “Sock It to Drugs Day,” so wear crazy or mismatched socks. October 30 is “Drugs Can’t Find Us” day, so wear camouflage and bring canned goods for the food drive. Wear red October 31 to pledge to be drug free.

Pelion Library will

hold technology training October 30 at 10:30 am. Registration is required. Preschool story time will be October 30 at 11 am. Yarn art will be October 26 at 10 am. North of 50 meets October 29 at 11:15 am. This month’s focus is slightly spooky stories and crafts.

Pelion Panthers play Strom Thurmond October 25 at 7:30 p.m.

Pelion High senior and underclassmen make-up pictures will be October 31 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The Pelion Senior Center will have their annual Halloween costume and coloring contest October 31.
