More Christmas music is on tap this week in Red Bank. St. James Lutheran Church holds two opportunities to celebrate the season in song December 16. First, the Children’s Christmas Program, “Twas the Night Before Christmas,” will be presented at the 10 am worship. Then at 4 p.m.,the chancel choir presents “The Joyous Sounds of Christmas,” along with the Grace Note handbells and other instrumentalists. A Christmas cookie reception will be held in the fellowship hall after the program.

Spring registration for Lexington Girl’s Softball is happening now online at www.lgssc.com , or you can register at the fields in the Red Bank Arena park on Nazareth Road January 18-19. Call 803-216-5245 for information.

Jersey Mike’s is coming to Red Bank soon; per the company website a location is opening on South Lake Drive in the shopping strip that includes Marco’s Pizza.

Congratulations to the Carolina Springs Middle School orchestra students who recently earned a spot in the Region Orchestra, out of more than 400 who auditioned: Alyssa Gunter, Kayla Mathis, Lynda Ramirez, Sara Rupon, Eli Skinner, Ekemini Umanah, and Victoria Vanlue.

Congratulations to these White Knoll High athletes who recently signed up to play at the college level: Softball signees Hannah Goodwin (Clemson), Lea Kindrick (Brevard College),, Andrea Lyon (Gardner Webb), Libby Williams (Belmont Abbey College), and Briannah Workman and Syvannah Workman (Columbia College). Ashlyn Simon signed with Lander for soccer and Grace Webb signed with William Peace University for basketball; Dillon Humes signed with Erskine College to play golf.

Happy Birthday this week to Christen McConnaughhay, Glenn Smith, Baylee Backman, Guy West, Christopher Kyzer, Chris Folsom, Austin Duke, Dollie Pounds, Kristie Joyner, Sammie Metts, Mitchell Snelgrove, Ryan Jordan, Wyatt Keisler, and Jim Cox.
