What to do when stuck on a problem

Live the Life you want

We live in a time when education is highly valued but expensive and is often overrated. Students graduate without real life skills, are thousands of dollars in debt and filled with feelings of failure as they struggle to find good jobs for themselves.

What they need is not more education but to tap knowledge they already have.

I loved college and grad school but it didn’t help me when I found myself needing answers to huge life problems.

We have innate knowledge.

If you aren’t clear on what I mean, think about a time when you were stuck. Did you shared it with a friend in front of a child? Out of the blue, the kid would tell you what to do.

What I find amazing is the younger the child, the more straight forward the solution. This is because kids have not been tainted by judgment or fear that swims around in our experience-driven minds.

You were born with natural gifts and talents. One of mine is writing. The other is helping people heal.

What is your natural gift or talent? If you don’t know, stop thinking.

Here is how you can tap into God-given knowledge and find solutions.

• I have overcome many challenges personally and in my career. When searching my mind for answers failed me I did one simple thing. I stopped to breathe.

Breath is the essence of life. Without it we die. When we learn to use breath for our own benefit, real magic happens.

When you feel stuck, stop and breathe in and out of your nose. Your entire focus needs to be on your breathing.

• Next, be present. I used to worry about the future and my past. I was rarely present.

When we constantly want to change the past or control the future we give up living in the present moment. This is where your power and control truly lives.

Just breathe and be present. At first this may feel strange. That’s okay. Just keep doing these 2 simple things.

By following your breath and staying present you can begin to uncover knowledge you were born with.

This summer I am sharing my knowledge of meditation, tai chi and yoga so you can benefit in amazing, life changing ways.
