Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Rules Committee Chairman James McGovern propose to use “gender-inclusive” language.
Terms to be struck from clause 8(c)(3) of rule XXIII, the House’s Code of Official Conduct would include “mother, father, son, daughter, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, first cousin, nephew, niece, husband, wife, father-in-law, mother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, stepfather, stepmother, stepson, stepdaughter, stepbrother, stepsister, half brother, half sister, grandson, [and] granddaughter.”

Pamela Gay Dennis wrote us: "I am a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and great-aunand also a nurse. 

"I request and prefer these titles as I have earned those roles and prefer to be called those, just as I have honored and respected my patients or people around me who prefer their identity to be acknowledged and respectfully called. 

"Change what you will to be all-inclusive, Do not try and changed what we prefer. We are NOT a piece of broad wood that you can decide without our consideration to paint us all with a wide-broad brush.

David Flores wrote: "This ideal is coming from super liberal destroyers of family structure and original base on God given since the the beginning of time.
"The politicians like Nancy Pelosi are mad and out of there heads."
