Cindy Kessler, Beth Dickerson Branham, Liz Chitty Castles and Abbott Bray were the top 4 vote-getters for the open seats on the Lexington 2 School Board.

Kessler and Branham are incumbents.

2 new, 2 incumbents win District 2 board seats

Cindy Kessler, Beth Dickerson Branham, Liz Chitty Castles and Abbott Bray were the top 4 vote-getters for the open seats on the Lexington 2 School Board.

Kessler and Branham are incumbents.

20-year incumbent Bill Bingham did not run for reelection.

“I was able to do what I set out to do,” said Bing ham. “We improved the image of the district.” He said he feels he has completed his community service, and it’s time to pass the baton onto someone else.

According to the SC Election Commission:

• Beth Dickerson Branham 16.66% (8,952)

• Abbott Bray 10.64% (5,715)

• Liz Chitty Castles 13.68% (7,352)

• Joseph Chuck Hightow er 9.66% (5,190)

• Cindy Kessler 17.41% (9,355) • Kevin Key 10.11%

• Kevin Key 10.11% (5,432)

• Robin Milton 6.23% (3,348)

• Johnny Payne 7.92% (4,255)

• Paige Salonich 7.24% (3,890)

Write-In 0.44% (237)

A total of 53,726 votes were cast
