South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of Robert Wilden Geiger, 34, of Pelion, Taz Michael Johnson, 22, of Swansea, and Katherine Louise Chatten, 19, of Lexington, on nine charges connected to the sexual exploitation of a minor.
Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Office made the arrests.
Investigators state Geiger and Johnson sent nude images to minor victims. Johnson also engaged in sexual activity with minor victims. Chatten engaged in sexual activity with a minor victim and engaged in the production of child pornography.
Johnson was arrested on September 25. He is charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor, second degree; and one count of disseminating obscene material to a person under age 18, a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment.
Geiger was arrested September 27. He is charged with three counts of disseminating obscene material to a person under age 18, a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count.
Chatten was arrested September 27. She is charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor, second degree; and one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, first degree, a felony offense punishable by up to 20 years imprisonment.
These cases will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
Attorney General Wilson stressed all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
