The Lexington County Blowfish had 4 players named to the All-Coastal Plain League teams released Aug. 25.

Pitchers Dalton Mims of Airport High School and Garrett Houston and Clemson outfielder Dylan Brewer were named to the 1st team. Fellow Tiger and Dutch Fork graduate Tyler Olenchuk was named to the 2nd team.

A sophomore at Winthrop University, Mims pitched 38 innings in 12 games, struck out 32, posted a 1.34 earned run average and threw the Blowfish’s 1st complete game in 6 years in a win over the Spartanburgers.

Houston led the team with 9 saves and struck out 12 in 16 innings with a 2.20 ERA.

Brewer was the team leader in batting average (.350), doubles (15), home runs (4) and stolen bases (15). Olenchuk was 2nd on the team in batting average (.341), was 3rd on the team in RBI (19) and posted a 2:36 ERA.

Lexington County posted a 24-19 record which was 3rd overall in the CPL West standings behind eventual champion Savannah and High Point-Thomasville. It was the 1st time since moving to Lexington that the Blowfish posted back-to-back winning seasons.
