At least 5 were hurt in boat crash on Lake Murray Friday night.

One boat was damaged and the other sank, WLTX-TV reported Saturday afternoon.

The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources is investigating.

SCDNR received a call around 10:30 pm shortly after the incident happened, WLTX reported.

According to SCDNR, the incident involved 2 boats, a cabin cruiser with 2 people on board and a Tritoon with 6 people on board. The incident happened near Suzy Ebert Island in Richland County.

5 people from the Tritoon boat were taken to the hospital, 2 with serious injuries according to SCDNR.

Two people on board the cabin cruiser were able to get off the boat before it sank and were not injured, WLTX reported.
