6 firms hired for Dist. 1 construction, repairs

At its Feb. 5 meeting, the Lexington County School District 1 Board of Trustees awarded architectural services contracts to 6 firms for upcoming school building improvement projects outlined in the district’s 2018–2023 building plan.

• JHS Architecture: Integrated Design, Inc., will provide architectural services for project work at Lake Murray Elementary, Lexington High, Lexington Technology Center, the district’s Maintenance Facility, Midway Elementary and Red Bank Elementary.

• Jumper Carter Sease Architects, will provide architectural services for project work at Gilbert High, Pleasant Hill Elementary, Pleasant Hill Middle and River Bluff High.

• LS3P Associates, Ltd., will provide architectural services for project work at Carolina Springs Elementary, Carolina Springs Middle, Meadow Glen Elementary, Meadow Glen Middle, Oak Grove Elementary and the Rosenwald Community Learning Center.

• McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture, will provide architectural services for project work at Deerfield Elementary, Rocky Creek Elementary, White Knoll Elementary, White Knoll High and White Knoll Middle and will provide safety and security improvements at all Lexington District One schools.

• Pinnacle Architecture P.A., will provide architectural services for project work at Forts Pond Elementary, Lexington Middle, Pelion Elementary, Pelion High, Pelion Middle, Saxe Gotha Elementary and a district Transportation Facility.

• Quackenbush Architects + Planners, will provide architectural services for project work at Gilbert Elementary, Gilbert Primary, Gilbert Middle, Lexington Elementary and New Providence Elementary.

This building plan is part of the district’s $365 million five-year building plan. Read more about the plan on page A3.
