A daughter finds her mother’s love letters

Posted

While going through my mother’s closet after she passed away in 2017, I came across bundled letters. They were written by my mother and father while he was overseas in the Navy. The letters were still tied with ribbon and twine 64 years later. She called my father, Chester Strother Jr., her “sweetie” even while suffering from dementia up until the day she died. It was such a wonderful love story for Valentine’s Day. My father is a new Lexington resident. We just moved him here from Florida. Judy Flack and her husband Mike are Lexington residents.
