A healthy, winning ‘Culture’

Posted

The Tsunami Bar Sports team recently traveled to West Point, Miss.

On the way, they made a stop in Tusculoosa, Ala. by the University of Alabama to visit the golf teams and introduce brand new technology with information.

The lesson today is on “Culture” and before setting this up, a brief explanation on Tsunami Bar technology.

The Tsunami Bar Technology is a layered rubber thermal plastic that bends and flexes.

It looks like everything you have seen in steel weights, but it bends.

What makes it uniquely beneficial is that it’s incredibly safe. It offers muscle fiber and joint insulation with stimulation that protects the sense of feel for the athlete.

The number 1 problem for athletes when exercising is the shock and abrasiveness of training that inspires soreness in the muscle. This soreness alters or dulls feel.

The Tsunami Bar technology with education teaches the muscle to be supple and agile under resistance force and tension.

So it’s the optimal way to apply the exercise investment to the sport.

In the words of the co-inventor and former assistant strength coach at Clemson David Abernathy of Greenville, ‘In football, we have to get our training to the grass.’

The same idea and expectation of fitness with work investment theoretically merits a return.

More next week on this topic!

“Taking it to the grass” or course applies to golf, so now to the golf lesson. It is possible for your mindset about golf to be quickly adjusted.

At Alabama, the golf team members perceive themselves to be great players while constantly filling their heads up with great shots.

Walk into the Golf Training Facility and national championship awards, murals, slogans and more tell a cultural story of golf achievement. The atmosphere of the clubhouse is amazing, influencing an achieving mindset.

There is an old but truthful saying that goes like this - ‘If you think you can, it’s possible.’ Another is ‘You are the sum total of what you think about most.’

What’s my point today? Build your own mental golf culture by reminding yourself constantly that you can hit great shots.

Feed yourself by replaying constantly the best shots you have ever hit. Replay in complete detail these shots including full audio and visual.

And if you haven’t hit many lately, make some up. This would be the right use of your imagination.

Create some, then play them often in your mind.
