Now that the weather is cooler, your family will welcome SOS, as they call it in the military, on cool evenings.
Melt a half stick of butter in a frying pan. Stir in a 1/4 cup of flour until bubbling. Slowly add 2 cups of milk and stir until it thickens. Chop and stir in 1
Chop and stir in 1 jar chipped beef. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve on toast.
For an added taste treat, serve with sliced cantaloupe or another favorite melon.
