Yes, it’s almost that time again when high school teams are practicing for this great fall tradition. This year stadiums will be back full again and players will be able to show what they’ve got. The Quail and his photographers, Ramie Kelly and Lynn Hamilton, will cover local high school games.

These schools include Pelion, Swansea and Wagener-Salley. The Panthers, Tigers and War Eagles are already holding practices and warming up for the 2021 season.

The 1st full weekend starts Friday night, August 20,but some teams have scrimmages before the actual season starts.

Pelion and Swansea will participate in the Lexington County Sportsarama August 13. Pelion will face Estill and Swansea will play Lexington.

The Sportsarama will be at Pelion High starting at 6:30 pm.

Wagener-Salley will have 2 scrimmages and a Jamboree. The 1st scrimmage will be August 5 at 9:30 pm at Columbia High and the 2nd at War Eagle stadium August 9 at 6 pm. The Jamboree will be August 13 at Aiken County. They will face Silver Bluff with a 6 pm kickoff.
