16 local authors participated in Saturday’s Authors for Literacy book signing at the Lexington Main Library. $245 was raised in book sales to benefit Turning Pages, an adult literacy non-profit. The authors were: Arthur Turfa, Bert Goolsby, Bonnie Stanard, Halina Schafer, Janet Kozachek, Jerry Bellune, Johnny Bloodsworth, Kathy Widener, Kathleene Little, Linda Maguire, Pat McNeely, Ralph Jarrells, Sharon Durgin, Susan Day Rackley, Suzanne Riley Whyte and William Kaliher. The Chronicle thanks all the authors who donated their time, The Lexington Main Library for providing a space for the event, Matt Steinmetz for coordinating the event, and all the Lexington County residents who helped make this event a success.
