JUSTIN HALL

At noon Wednesday, the Lexington County Blowfish held its second media luncheon in the Lexington County Baseball Stadium VIP room.

It was part of a series the second Wednesday of each month that leads up to the start of the 2019 season.

There were several announcements made regarding the upcoming season for the Blowfish, as well as some exciting news for Lexington County and fun events coming up.

SHAMROCK LUNCHEON

The February luncheon was dubbed the “Shamrock Luncheon” as the Blowfish will host the 4th annual Shamrock Parade on March

9. This year’s event will be the first year of the Shamrock Festival that will accompany the parade.

The Shamrock Parade and Festival will take place March 9 from noon to 5 pm on Main Street in Lexington.

Invited guests also heard news of more player signings for the 2019 Blowfish and additional promotional nights coming to The Lex this summer.

As always, expect a few surprises from Shanahan and the Blowfish staff.

The Lexington County Blowfish begin their 5th season in Lexington, and 14th overall, on May 30 against the Forest City Owls. The Blowfish are members of the Coastal Plain League, the premiere collegiate summer league comprised of 16 teams in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia.
