Homer T. “Bud” Timmons, 79, of Chapin, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018.
Bud served in the U.S. Marine Corp Reserves. He coached youth league baseball and basketball with Ir-mo Chapin Recreations, Seven Oaks Park, and the American Legion baseball. He was the owner of The Chap-in Times, serving the Chapin area for over 30 years.
Surviving are his wife of almost 60 years, Delores “Dee” Timmons; son, Brent Timmons of Myrtle Beach and grandson, Christopher Timmons of Columbia; brothers, Jerry Timmons, Earl Timmons and sister, Shirley Craft. He was predeceased by a son, Keith Timmons; mother, Elua Martin and father, Homer Timmons.
A Celebration of Life was held November 19, 2018 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, 503 North Lake Dr., Lexington.
