Burned Brussels sprout chips

Posted

I discovered this delicious dish in a local restaurant and improvised it the other evening for guests.

Some people don’t like Brussels sprouts but I noted no one left any on their plates.

Garlic and Parmesan cheese are optional, but I highly recommend adding both, especially the Parm. It adds a little indulgence that no chip should be without.

Burned Brussels Sprout Chips for 4

24 Brussels sprouts

1/4 cup olive oil

Garlic powder, salt, and pepper

1 cup Parmesan cheese

Heat oven to 400°.

Trim bottom of Brussels sprouts, and cut into thin slices. In a mixing bowl, toss slices with olive oil and other ingredients.

Arrange slices in sin gle layer on greased baking sheet, and bake for 10 minutes until crispy and black.

Flip the chips over and rearrange on baking sheet, making sure they’re in a single layer. Sprinkle Parmesan over the top. Bake 5 more minutes, until crispy and black.

Watch everyone approach them cautiously then complain when they run out.
