Chapel dedication

Lexington Medical Center’s new chapel was dedicated on April 26, 2021 and will provide a place for individuals to find solace at a time when they are not sure what to do, where to go and how to keep going. Some will have a patient bracelet on their wrist, some will bear an LMC badge on their shirt and others will carry the name and worry of another in their heart.

We would like to thank those who made transformational gifts: the LMC Auxiliary who funded the commissioned stained glass by Shenandoah Restorations’ artist Fielding Moore, Paul and Jeannie Clifton, Dr. Charles and Ms. Joyce Ham, Keith and Denise Hudson, Bill McDaniels and Suzanne Pucci, and Keith and Diane Pound.

At present time, we have exceeded our initial goal for the Pastoral Care Chapel Fund. With the additional funds raised, the chapel project will be expanded to the renovation of the existing Pastoral Care office space thanks to a lead gift from Keith and Denise Hudson in honor of their corporate Chaplain, Steve Acree. The Foundation team is excited to help create an inviting and comforting space for patients and employees to receive counsel within the hospital.
