Chronicle Country teams featured in TV games

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL

It’s the first of 2 television appearances for the Silver Foxes, both at home. On Oct. 11, it will play host to River Bluff in a Region 5-5A contest as part of the WACH (Channel 57) Fox Friday Night Rivals schedule.

This year’s 11-game slate will feature contests involving Mid-Carolina at Chapin (Aug. 30), Lexington at Gilbert (Sept. 6), Gray Collegiate at White Knoll (Sept. 20) and Spring Valley at Irmo (Oct. 4).

The upcoming high school football season will once again feature Chronicle County teams prominently on television.

Dutch Fork will open the season before a nationwide audience Aug. 23 when it plays host to Mallard Creek, N.C. The 3-time defending Class 5A champions will look to extend a 25-game winning streak. be televising high school football. Games will be shown on WACH 57.2/ Spectrum Cable Channel 1250 and streamed on www.wach.com and the WACH Fox App.

The station also will carry the Class 3A, 4A and 5A title games at Williams-Brice Stadium.

Stacey Hough will handle play-byplay duties with former University of South Carolina and Chapin offensive lineman Mason Zandi handling color commentary.
