Members of the Harbour Watch Bible Study recently assisted the Lexington County Recreation and Aging Commission in their Project Pantry event.
7 members worked with volunteers at the Gilbert Senior Center to fill around 900 bags for Lexington County’s senior population.
The bags contained shelf-stable pantry items that were delivered to each of the County Senior Centers for distribution.
Prior to filling the bags, the Bible Study held a food and warm clothing drive among its members. The articles were donated to the Aging Commission.
The Bible Study group is volunteering in a myriad of activities in Lexington County to assist senior citizens.
