Circle of Care Outcome

A Cancer Diagnosis Is Life Changing.

Yet surrounding our survivors is a circle of care — family, friends and healthcare providers who support, encourage and guide them along their cancer journey. From detection and treatment to recovery and life after ringing the bell, the Lexington Medical Center Foundation looks to help. Its cancer care programs and resources meet many different needs and focus on holistic support for our patients.

During October 2021, the foundation raised $115,097 to benefit the Crystal Smith Breast Cancer Fund and Cancer Care Fund. Donors were able to submit a picture to a Photo Tribute Wall in memory or honor of a cancer survivor or caregiver.

Through social media, eblasts, and a special campaign website, the Foundation spread awareness about cancer screenings as well as specific cancer care programs.
