Jeff and Sheri Easter will be in concert at Convent Baptist Church February 23 at 6 pm. Everyone is invited to hear this talented duo in song.

Congratulations to Pelion High Junior Defensive End/Tight End DeShontez Gray and Junior Defensive Tackle/Offensive Lineman Will Jeffcoat on earing a 2019 All-State Honor from the SC Football Coaches Association.

Pelion Library will host technology training on February 19 at 10:30 am for ages 18 and up. Registration is required. Books & Beyond meets February 18 at 3 pm for grades K-5. This session features Lego Story builders. Participants will build different Lego creations based on a story. Activities are geared for older students but younger siblings can attend when accompanied by an adult. Spine Crackers book club meets February 19 at 3 pm. This month the club is reading “The Unhoneymooners” by Christina Lauren. This event is for ages 18 and up.

Pelion Senior Center will celebrate Valentine’s Day February

14. The center will be closed February 17. Other activities for the week include billards, exercise, walking, and Bible study.

Pelion High Women’s varsity soccer will meet White Knoll at home February 20 at 7 pm. Varsity baseball will play Bamberg-Ehrhardt February 13 at 5:30 pm. Varsity basketball plays Gilbert February 13 at 6 pm. JV/V softball will play Silver Bluff February 18 at 5 pm. Varsity baseball will play Westwood February 18 at 5:30 pm. B-team baseball will play at Westwood February 20 at 5:30 pm. JV/V girls soccer will play White Knoll February 20 at 5:30 pm.

Pelion High will hold the annual Father/ Daughter dance February 21 at 6 pm.

The Pelion Police Department recently announced the arrest of the person responsible for the bomb threat call received at Forts Pond Elementary School December 13, 2019. Ms. Felissa Connelley was arrested January 31 without incident. She has been released on a $10,000 bond.
