‘Cops-on-the-Coop’ raises $7,800 for Special Olympics

The Lexington Police Department help its annual “Cops-on-the-Coop” fundraiser Apr. 4 and 5.

The department set up at the Chick-fil-A Saluda Point to raise money for Special Olympics athletics.

The Lexington Police Department raised over $7,856.00 in 2 days.

All donations benefit the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics to directly support the over 29,000 Special Olympics athletes in South Carolina.

“The Lexington Police Department has had a longstanding relationship with Special Olympics SC and the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. These events with Chick-fil-A Saluda Pointe are always a success,” Lexington Police Chief Terrence Green said.
