Law enforcement officers and civilians gathered May 12 at Lexington’s Virginia Hylton Park to honor the local fallen officers whose names are engraved on the Lexington County Law Enforcement Memorial. Capt. Adam Myrick read the officers’ names on the monument, followed by the ringing of a bell after each name. A moment of silence was observed while Taps played.
