District 2, LMC vaccinate teachers

Many Lexington School District employees are now vaccinated against covid-19.

Lexington 2 nurses, in partnership with Lexington Medical Center, administered the 1st doses of vaccinations Monday, Mar. 22.

Principals, teachers, assistants, bus drivers, cafeteria workers, and others turned out Monday for the event.

“Being able to offer this added layer of safety for our employees is very important to us,” said Lexington 2 Superintendent Dr. Nicolas Wade.

“We appreciate Lexington Medical Center for partnering with us on these events, and we appreciate our families using re mote learning days so we could vaccinate employees to boost the safety of our learning environments.”

Lexington Medical Center provided more than 200 vaccine doses for Lexington 2 employees who signed up for the 1st of 2 vaccination events.

The 2nd is scheduled for April 12.
