The Lexington County School District Three Board of Trustees is pursuing a bond referendum in the November 2018 general election. If passed, the bond would allow the school district to borrow up to $90 million. The money would fund renovations at the existing B-L Primary School facility and build a brand new B-L High School. The upgrades will address the safety, student growth, and aging building issues that have concerned Board members for years, the district said in an press release. Lexington Three wants to ensure that community members have an opportunity to learn more about the district’s short and long-term needs and to ask questions about the referendum. These public meetings are planned:

• Tuesday, September 25 at 7 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 113 North Oak Street, Batesburg-Leesville

• Monday, October 1 at 7 p.m. at Steadman Baptist Church, 1011 North Edisto Road B-L

• Monday, October 8 at 7 p.m. at Olive Branch Baptist Church, 122 South Oak Street, B-L, Please visit to the district’s website www.lex3.org and the district’s social media pages for more information. Anyone with questions can also contact the Lexington 3 District Office at 803-532-4423.
