This is Debee Early with Aliya, Wyatt, and Alek Neely. Wyatt organized a fundraising walk in the Whiteford neighborhood to raise money for Smile Train, a cleft palate charity to provide free cleft care for children around the world. Debee was one of 8 Whiteford Neighbors who hosted a “Smile Stop” to raise awareness about cleft palate. Dr. Pennella of The Braces Place donated backpacks for all the walkers so they could collect treats at each stop. Friends, family, and neighbors donated $674 to cover the cost for 2 children to receive cleft surgery plus follow up dental or speech therapy.
