The fall sports season is in full swing. Halloween and Thanksgiving are quickly approaching with Christmas coming quicker than I want to admit. I prefer the fall season to go museum visiting and look forward to admiring nature’s leaf painting exhibitions.

The SC State Museum and Edventure are nearby, so is the Cayce Museum. Our excellent Lexington County Museum is a delight to visit, and the Columbia Museum of Art will be an inspiration. Dinosaurs at the Riverbanks Zoo will give you a glimpse of ancient times. Take the kids or grandkids on fun family adventures to some of these places and create a few unforgettable memories.

Fall weather brings also brings memories of cool nights at the SC State Fair! Who doesn’t enjoy the rides, tasty fattening food, and the live concerts? The fair is in town until October 20. Visit www.scstatefair.org for more information.

Attention all of you who live on our magnificent lake! Lake Murray Association’s public meeting is November 12 at 6:30 pm at Macedonia Lutheran Church, 49 Macedonia Church Rd., Prosperity.
