Lexington County gas prices are plummeting.

Over-stocked supplies in the US and elsewhere are sending crude oil prices to new lows.

Lexington resident Chuck McCurry paid $1.88.9 a gallon for unleaded regular gas at the Circle K on Augusta Road at Leaphart Road using an Easy Pay card.

This week, according to AmericanTowns.com, The Pantry at 1100 South Lake Dr., Lexington, and the BP station at 1019 South Lake Dr., Lexington were selling unleaded regular for $1.96.9 a gallon. According to GasBuddy. com, 3 other stations were selling unleaded regular at $1.96.9 near Lexington.

They were Murphy Express at 108 Knoll Station Dr. and S. Lake Dr., the Shell station at 1100 S. Lake Dr. and 2 Notch Road and the Exxon station at 1035 Old Orangeburg Rd. and Old Barnwell Rd.
