Courtesy boat inspections will be performed by the SC Department of Natural Resources at Lake Murray during the 4th of July holiday.

Officers will perform a quick but thorough check of boats to make sure they have the required safety equipment and proper registrations. Those not in compliance will not be ticketed, but will be given the opportunity to correct the problem before launching.

Inspections will be done from 10 am to noon July 4 and July 6 at the Lake Murray Dam and Billy Dreher Island Tournament Ramp.
