Warren Buffet says solar make no sense without tax breaks. The solar business’s big winners owe their success to political connections and gaming complicated government programs. The real underlying economics do not support the huge investment being squandered on solar equipment production and installation.
It is a safe bet that it will all come crashing down like previous energy schemes.
Solar power joins the list of expensive government-sponsored energy failures, political connections, fly-by-night bankruptcies, a huge waste on projects that fail to perform as promised – ala the SCE&G-Santee Cooper nuclear fiasco – and crony policies that are unsound and an enormous misdirection of resources.
