Helping small business survive the virus storm

Posted

I am grateful to represent small businesses and want to make sure they have the support they need. I have worked with my colleagues in Congress and President Donald Trump to help small businesses survive.

I supported the CARES Act as it addresses our economy, expedites resources to healthcare providers and patients, provides direct assistance to families and supports our small businesses with paycheck protection.

This program authorizes forgivable loans to small businesses to pay their employees. Small businesses with 500 or fewer employees can apply for funds to pay up to 8 weeks of payroll including benefits and pay interest on mortgages, rent and utilities.

To apply, small businesses must submit the PPP loan application with required documentation to an approved lender who will process your application by June 30. The sooner small businesses apply, the sooner they can recover from this pandemic.

I encourage small business owners to take advantage of these loans and contact your lender or visit SBA.gov to apply.

Please visit joewilson.house.gov/corona virus or call the Midlands Office at (803) 939-0041 if you are a small businesses owner with questions or concerns.

I am confident we will push through and come out of this crisis stronger than ever.

The Congressman lives in Springdale.
